Workshop – Cityquest: Promoting Innovations in New Cities

As the world rapidly urbanizes, many ideas are being developed to manage the unprecedented urban growth. One recent strategy that seeks to address pressing urban and economic challenges is the creation of completely new master-planned cities. Dozens of new cities are being designed and constructed around the world and represent hundreds of billions of dollars of investments. Builders of new cities prioritize high levels of innovation and entrepreneurship and seek to create vibrant and economically successful engines of growth. How can new cities attract and retain residents and businesses that can accelerate economic growth? How can urban tech help to mitigate issues in the future city? Is there an ideal urban ecosystem for new businesses? And what major challenges do builders of new cities face?
