Melissa Mongiat is co-founder with Mouna Andraos of Daily tous les jours, a studio working in the fields of interaction design and narrative environments. They create large-scale, collective experiences for public spaces.

The studio is active in art, tech, design and urban development communities, and has been giving lectures and workshops worldwide, notably at Eyeo, INST-INT, SXSW, New Cities Summit, TEDx, Ars Electronica, KIKK, Saint-Étienne and San José Biennales. Recognitions include Best in Show at the 2013 Interaction Awards and the Grand Prize at the 2014 UNESCO Shenzhen Design Awards.

Before establishing a practice in Montréal, Melissa was based in London where she worked on a series of urban interactive installations, in the early days of interactive technology development for public spaces. This led to her selection by Wallpaper* magazine as one of the world’s ten breakthrough designers.

Melissa holds an MA with distinction in Creative Practice for Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. With fellow graduates, she co-founded Like People Do, a research consultancy based at Central Saint Martins’ Innovation Centre. Focusing on interactive environments, the group worked notably with Arup Foresight, Phillips, and China Heritage.
