Montreal Urban Ecology Centre

Executive Director of the Montreal Urban Ecology Centre, Véronique is an ambassador for ecological, democratic and sustainable cities by promoting citizen involvement in urban issues and decisions. As a Montreal City Councillor from 2009 to 2013, she chaired the South West Planning Advisory Committee and held several positions related to finance and economic development at the municipal level. She brings over 15 years of experience in local development, social economy and intervention, as well as in urban policy and active citizenship. Building on her strong training in community organization, she holds a Masters in Social Work and Social economy, along with a Masters degree in Public Management; she also teaches collective intervention at the University level.
